Participant’s journey with A&A

Sharni has been a Participant with Ability&Ambition for approximately two years and in this time we have seen some amazing growth and change within her.
With the support of A&A Sharni has been able to achieve goals such as obtaining her Learners permit, she was also given the Swan Hill College Community Award for being a positive role model and always being available for helping and supporting her peers, at the SHC end of year ceremony in 2023. Sharni displays these wonderful attributes in all she does, including here with A&A; she is known for being empathetic, kind and supportive of her fellow Participant’s in any group activity she attends.

When asked about her time with Ability&Ambition, Sharni had the following to say:
“I believe A&A have helped me with my social skills, like being able to order food at restaurants on my own now and having the confidence to be able to go to the supermarket by myself. I like A&A because of the friendly staff that are always uplifting and love their job which makes the support sessions a lot more fun and exciting. There is always something fun to do at Ohana House and the STA camps that Chevy & the other staff run are always fun and something to look forward to.”
